Food hall emporiums are spreading across the nation like wildfire. This long-held European tradition manifests as multi-faceted, indoor markets, featuring local food. Meet Provisions Market Hall, a 21st-century food court for local food lovers.
Located in downtown Eugene at the 5th Street Public Market, it is providing locals and visitors with a 10,000 square foot gathering spot and emporium of local, fresh, seasonal and artisanal. This expanded version of Marché Provisions is the latest, and dare we say grandest, offering of Chef Stephanie Kimmel’s Marché Restaurant Group.
When you stop in at the Blackboard Kitchen Cafe, you’ll find a diverse menu of prepared dishes, pizzas and salads featuring produce from local farmers. Be sure to save time, though, before or after lunch for strolling the aisles of local artisan products, kitchen equipment, wines, regional cheeses, Newman’s Fish seafood, and meats from Long’s Meat Market.
Check out Provisions. The makings of a fab food find are close at hand.
Provisions Market Hall is located on the lower level of 5th Street Public Market in downtown Eugene at 296 East 5th St. and is open 8am-9pm.
