New November 2020: Fermenter takes over Farm Spirit space:
Aaron Adams’ plant-based “beneficial bacteria emporium” known as Fermenter has moved from its original location and taken over his Farm Spirit space at 1403 SE Belmont St., streamlining both restaurant concepts into a single location. The converted space is now open as a delicatessen setting for lunch, dinner, and Saturday brunch for take-out and delivery. Soups, sandwiches, bowls, salads, provisions and sides are ready to eat or to take out and prepare at home.
Farm Spirit is Portland’s first modernist vegan plant-based tasting menu restaurant, featuring locally grown produce from the Pacific Northwest bioregion. Besides sugar and some spices, all produce is sourced from less than a hundred miles from the restaurant, such as organic farms, Oregon Olive Mill, PSU Farmer’s Market, Freddy Guy hazelnuts and others. They are located in the Buckman neighborhood of SE Portland.
