Fermenter is Portland’s first modernist vegan plant-based restaurant, featuring locally grown produce from the Pacific Northwest bioregion. Besides sugar and some spices, all produce is sourced from less than a hundred miles from the restaurant, such as organic farms, Oregon Olive Mill, PSU Farmer’s Market, Freddy Guy hazelnuts and others. They are located in the Buckman neighborhood of SE Portland.
Aaron Adams’ plant-based “beneficial bacteria emporium” is now open for pickup, delivery and on-site dining (indoors and covered/heated outdoor patio seating). Soups, sandwiches, bowls, salads, provisions and ferment products, oregon beer and natural wines are ready to eat or to take out and prepare at home.
Check out the classes and workshops on making traditional cultured and fermented foods at home. Classes are held at Fermenter Workshop located next door to the Kombucha Brew Pub, at 1407 SE Belmont Street.
