Online! 2020 Willamette Valley Lavender Festival
In light of the continued restrictions and health and safety risks due to COVID-19, all IN-PERSON EVENTS for this year’s Willamette Valley Lavender Festival & Paint Out scheduled to take place July 11-12 are CANCELLED.
This festival is a cherished celebration throughout the valley and beyond; the decision to cancel is not made lightly. Now in its 16th year, this year’s festival will take place ENTIRELY ONLINE the week of July 6 – 12.
So tune in, find some lavender to smell, and celebrate with us! The week of the online festival we will be sharing all things lavender – DIY lavender projects, lavender facts, local lavender farms, lavender recipes, and more – on the festival website (https://www.wvlavenderfestival.org), on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WillametteValleyLavenderFestival) and on the Chehalem Cultural Center instagram (https://www.instagram.com/chehalemculturalcenter). We will also have an online Lavender Marketplace, where guests can find all of their favorite lavender vendors and buy their products online: www.wvlavenderfestival.org/2020-online-festival.
While we may not be able to breathe in the scents of lavender together, we are still going to celebrate this beautiful flower that graces our valley.
Use the hashtag #OnlineLavenderFest20 and we will share your lavender pictures and celebrations!
Plein Air Pandemic Paint Out
In lieu of the Lavender Paint Out Exhibition that annually brings together around 125 artists who have been painting out in the lavender fields, the CCC is coordinating a Plein Air Pandemic Paint Out, inviting all of the artists who had planned on participating in the Lavender Paint out along with any other painters who are interested, to submit plein air paintings of The Landscapes Around Them.
The call for submissions will be open until July 11, 2020 to any artist that wishes to participate: www.wvlavenderfestival
